Brochure and invitation design for the exhibition- Berthe Morisot: Woman Impressionist. This exhibition traced the exceptional path of a woman who defied the social norms of her time to join the Parisian avant-garde. Morisot often left her canvases only half-painted, using the unpainted raw texture of the linen and canvas as an element in her work. For the invitation suite to the exhibition party, we chose to use a cream colored textured wove paper with a luxurious deckled edge to emphasize the warm textures apparent in the naked and "unfinished" areas of Morisot's canvases.
